A waste exemption is a waste operation which is exempt from needing an environmental permit, for example, spreading waste to benefit agricultural land. There are around 60 different exemptions available and each one allows certain activities involving waste to be carried out. Each one also has limits and conditions attached which you must adhere to or the exemption will be considered invalid.
If you wish to operate under a waste exemption, then the exemption must be registered with the Environment Agency. We can assist with waste exemption registrations. Each registration lasts 3 years.
